Baby...Look at You NOW!
Ever wonder what to do with those old time black and white photos? Some of them are so "glam" compared to today, you just wish you could do something with them. Well....the Nouveau & Glass Collection is a stylish fit!
For this layout we took a "Baby, look at you NOW!" approach, with a black and white baby shot, offset by a great glamour shot with oh so elegant hat and curls.
Two special notes on this layout are the wavy ribbon and the round frame with the baby. For the wavy ribbon, we took a regular ribbon and used the "Shear" Filter in Photoshop. Just set a ribbon in place and choose Filter>Distort>Shear. Click to add points that you can push around to get a wavy effect.
For the round photo frame we took one of the glassy borders and used a different filter called Polar Coordinates, which sounds more complicated than it is. Just go to Filter>Distort>Polar Coordinates. Use the setting for Rectangular to Polar.
You may have to play with the length of your starting border to get it to make a complete circle, but usually working on a regular 12 x 12 document with one of the borders from the kit will work fine. If it overlaps or is too short, just cut or add a bit before you use the filter until you hit the sweet spot!
The background is a mixture of 2 papers from "Vol. 1 - The Papers" kit, layered with color blends set to "overlay" again.
The entire 5 volume set is also available at a discount in the Nouveau & Glass Bundle.
